Can anyone else see or access my recipes? –

Absolutely not! There are a number of safeguards in place to
ensure that recipes are only available to their rightful owners.
Whenever a user logs in, their email and password are checked
against the records in the database. They are then ‘authenticated’
for only their own recipes. The authentication details are stored
in a ‘cookie’ on their computer. If the cookie is tampered with
or times out then the user has to login again.

Can my recipes be lost if the website goes ‘down’? –

No! In total 6 backup ‘snapshots’ of the website and database
are kept at all times – 1 from an hour ago, 1 from two hours
ago, one day, two days, one week and two weeks. MenuCoster can
be easily recovered from any of these snapshots.
