Jamie Oliver has said he will not use his “pukka”
catch phrase again, because he feels it has turned him into
a joke.

Oliver was lampooned by critics who sent up his language in
his original TV series, The Naked Chef.

“I try to avoid it now because I felt like I was becoming a
cartoon of myself,” he said.

“When you go to other countries, especially America, they keep
asking you to say it and it drives you mad.”

Oliver is taking a year-long break away from the public eye
to concentrate on this business and to spend more time with
his wife Jools and their two daughters.
