Auckland-based menu management company Menu Du Jour
has developed a website that allows chefs to analyses the nutrient
value of their meals and cost recipes online.
MyRecipes (www.myrecipes.co.nz)
enables chefs to enter ingredients into recipes online in a
safe and secure environment while tracking current cost prices
and ingredient availability.
Ingredient pricing is updated directly from nationwide suppliers
who are linked to the site, meaning chefs simply enter their
recipes and menus and the latest available ingredient prices
are displayed.
MenuCoster is the brainchild of former chef and Menu Du Jour
owner Gavin Lovett. Lovett worked closely with Dunedin-based
dietitian Amber Strong when developing the site that features
nutritional information for menus and recipes and a “Menu Guide”
labeling system.
